I used a preset below Steinway B Home and not much was not changed from the original preset. For the sample, I played one of my favorite old pops "You are my sunshine" with Steinway B. About the sound, I really don't understand why Steinway B has the warmer and fuller sound than Steinway D from Pianoteq 6 even though it has a smaller body. It has a very pleasant playability so that you may not feel any latencies or awkwardness when playing live or recording. I can say for sure that Pianoteq 6 has one of the most reliable response and playability among tens of thousands of piano libraries in the market. When playing with ff or higher, almost all Pianoteq pianos sound a bit robotic in high registers, but this Steinway B has a less robotic sound when played with rather strong velocities. Sound is also warmer and softer than Steinway D. In the forum from Pianoworld, many people prefer Steinway B than Steinway D piano due to less robotic sound and more natural feels I guess. If you are interested in my review for other pianos from Pianoteq 6, please check below links. So most people start to explore Pianoteq 6 with Steinway D generally. When you purchase Standard or Stage version of Pianoteq 6, Steinway D is one of the default packages. Pianoteq 6 Steinway B is quite a recent package among Pianoteq 6 piano lineups.
